The Hispanic Public Relations Association’s mission is to advance the practice of Hispanic public relations as a marketing discipline; to serve as the voice for professionals working in the Hispanic communications field nationwide; to empower its members through support, resources and education; and to offer guidance and assistance to students pursuing careers in the field.

Born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Eliecer Marte began his television career as a child on the Dominican show “Sábado Chiquito de Corporán.” He holds a bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism and Economics from the University of Miami and a master’s degree in Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Throughout his career, Marte has worked in radio and television across some of the most influential Hispanic media outlets in the United States, including the Spanish Broadcasting System, Univision, and Telemundo, where he also collaborated with its sister network, NBC. His journalistic work has been recognized with numerous accolades, including Telly Awards, GLAAD Awards, and twelve Emmy® Awards. In 2023, Marte made history as the first Dominican-born journalist in U.S. Hispanic media to transition into English-language television, joining News12 Networks and PIX11 in New York City. Driven by a passion for storytelling and meaningful communication, Marte founded EM2 Communications in 2025 — a communications strategy and content development boutique built on three pillars: Authenticity, Purpose, and Parenthood.
